GÖKNUR GÜNDOĞAN, PhD

Göknur completed her secondary and high school education at the İzmir Saint-Joseph French Secondary School and the İstanbul Saint-Michel French High School, respectively. She then pursued undergraduate and graduate studies at the Montpellier 3 University in France, where she received her doctorate in cultural management.

 

Over the course of her professional career in cultural management at the organizations such as the !f İstanbul Independent Film Festival and the Cinemed Montpellier International Mediterranean Film Festival, she developed an interest in gastronomy and wine, which led her to attend training programs. In 2018, she was selected as one of the cultural ambassadors of the prestigious Université du Vin (Wine University) in the Rhône Valley, having won the national French wine consultant/sommelier diploma with the highest degree.

 

As an independent international consultant and trainer, she leads wine and tasting workshops and organizes training sessions under her brand Pantagruel. Göknur also writes, translates, and publishes books on viniculture and gives lectures at universities on both cultural management and wine culture.
